| Class: Potions
Potions lessons take place down in one of the dungeons. It was colder there than up in the main castle, and is quite creepy enough without the pickled animals floating in glass jars all around the walls.

So you were sorted into Slytherin? Well what looks like a blank stone wall is actually the entrance to the room where you can spend time with your fellow Slytherin's, just speak the password and you may enter.

| Dungeon Corridor
This dark, dingy, gloomy corridor is always lit by flickering torches and a slow drip can be heard from a leaking pipe usually. Most students here are Slytherins, but even they aren't too fond of the surroundings.

| The Kitchens
The Hogwarts kitchens are located directly below the Great Hall and are just the same size. The kitchens are staffed by over a hundred house-elves. To get to the kitchens, take the door to the right of the main staircase in the entrance hall. Follow the corridor until you come to a painting of a bowl of fruit. Tickle the pear and it giggles and becomes a door handle.

| Entrance Hall
Enter the Entrance hall through two big oak doors where you will find yourself in a room with two hour glasses either side of the oak doors, being the house point hour glasses.

| Staff Room
Here is the staff room. A long panelled room with mismatched dark, wooden chairs and a large wardrobe, occasionaly inhabited by the odd Boggart. Stone gargoyles stand outside to ask any approaching students what business they have there.

| Broom Cupboard
Here is a very cosy space, usually overlooked by most students. The small area is filled with upturned buckets, stacks of brooms, cleaning liquids and hooks with coats and keys hanging on them. Not much space, but enough for two.

| Great Hall
A very large room with four long tables where each house sits and a smaller table at the front for the staff. The ceiling in the Great Hall resembles what the sky is like outside. Quite a fantastic sight to see.

Defense Against the Dark Arts is one of Hogwarts most important and favourite classes. Not one Professor that taught this subject lasted more than a year, as there was said to be a 'curse' on the subject. DADA is important for anyone who's hoping to become an Auror.

| Headmaster's Office
The entrance to the Headmaster's office at Hogwarts is behind a statue of a gargoyle. When given the proper password, the gargoyle will leap aside, and the wall behind it will split in two to reveal a spiral stone staircase that moves like an escalator. However, the office can be sealed so that none can enter save the rightful Headmaster or Headmistress, and also can be sealed so that someone already inside cannot leave without the Head's permission.

| Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom
A large 'Out of Order' sign hangs on the front of this door, its out of order as most girls are too scared to go in there thanks to Moaning Myrtle who was killed by Basilisk. She floods the bathroom, and creeps girls out when they are there.

| Library
The Hogwarts library contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. Included in its many sections is an Invisibility Section, a section with information about dragons, and a Restricted Section at the back, set off with a rope. The library closes at 8pm, every evening but as Harry shoed us in his first year its easy to get into after hours. No food in allowed in the library otheriwse you get banned.

A signed note from a teacher is required to peruse that section of the library; it contains books of Dark Magic only used by older students studying advanced Defence Against the Dark Arts. One of the books in this section screams when opened.

| Prefects' Bathroom
The door t the bathroom requires a password, and can be bolted from the inside. No mention is made of any portrait or statue guarding the room's entrance; apparently the door itself recognizes the password. There is one piece of artwork in the bathroom itself, however, a rather flirtatious picture of a mermaid on one wall. Inside, the bathroom's walls, floor, and single sunken bathtub are all made of white marble, lit softly by a candle-filled chandelier that impressed Harry on his first visit. The rectangular tub is the size and depth of a swimming pool, and even has a diving board, but unlike an ordinary pool the tub is lined with about a hundred taps, each with a differently coloured jewel set into the handle. Each tap automatically releases not only water, but bubble bath (a different kind of bubble bath for each colour-coded handle). A pile of fluffy white towels are kept in one corner.

Arithmancy is a branch of magic that is concerned with the magical properties of numbers; someone who practices Arithmancy is called an Arithmancer. For example, in the 1200s, Bridget Wenlock, a famous Arithmancer, discovered the magical properties of the number seven. An O.W.L. in Arithmancy is required to apply for a curse-breaker's job at Gringotts'.
In this class, students are expected to write essays and to be able to understand complicated number charts, which are part of their homework.

Divination class is located at the base of the North Tower, the only way to access the class is by a drop down ladder which falls down from the ceiling. Inside its filled with pouffes and small tables.

| Room Of Requirement
The Room of Requirement is a magical room which can only be discovered by someone who is in need. It is called the Come and Go Room by the house-elves of Hogwarts. The Room is located on the seventh floor, opposite a tapestry showing Barnabas the Barmy trying to teach trolls to dance the ballet. To make the Room appear, a person has to walk past the section of blank wall three times concentrating hard on what is needed.

| Ravenclaw Common Room
Ravenclaw Tower, is located on the west side of the Hogwarts castle. It is a place, where the Ravenclaws, can come and be with friends, have a chat, and it is also a place, where Ravenclaw students, can sit and relax, if they want.

| Class: Astronomy
A steep spiral staircase leads to the top of the Astronomy tower, with a door (which has an iron ring as a handle) leading out onto the ramparts, which are crenellated. The top of this tower where observation sessions are held for Astronomy is more or less directly above the front entrance of the castle; the top of the tower has a parapet. Classes usually take place at midnight.

At the base of the North Tower is the Divination Class, but if you venture up the spiral staircase upto the top you can find an un-used residential area. It has a few armchairs and an old camp bed.

The Owlery was a circular stone room, rather cold and drafty, because none of the windows had glass in them. The floor was entirely covered in straw, owl droppings, and the regurgitated skeletons of mice and voles. Hundreds upon hundreds of owls of every breed imaginable were nestled here on perches that rose right up to the top of the tower.

| Hagrid's Hut
This is where Hagrid eats, sleeps, drinks, and lives. It's a very small house, literally a hut or shack or whatever you want to call it, and it has a front and back door with only two windows. Fang, Hagrid's door, plays guardkeeper here to make sure no one unwelcome comes in, and in the back of Hagrid's hut, a pumpkin patch can be seen, growing with every day.

The Hog's Head is depicted by a sign of the head of a wild hog dripping blood onto a white cloth. The bracket of the sign is rusty and squeaks often. The whole entire place is very filthy, and it is rare students go in.
